What is the US Consolidated Screening List (Entity List) and how do you check it?
In short
The Consolidated Screening List gathers the export restriction lists of the US Commerce, State and Treasury departments.
It includes the Entity List, the Denied Persons List and others: exporting US goods to these parties can need a licence or be forbidden.
You check it before every shipment and every new customer that receives US goods, software or technology.
What the list contains
The CSL is published by the US International Trade Administration and combines several lists, among which the Entity List, the Denied Persons List, the Unverified List and the Military End User List of the Bureau of Industry and Security.
Each entry shows the source list, names, addresses and, for many lists, the licence requirement.

US export control law provides civil and criminal penalties. The figures we verified are shown on this page.
Does it apply if I am not in the United States?
US export rules can follow goods and technology of US origin abroad, also when they are re exported. Ask your legal advisor for your case.
