What is the UFLPA Entity List and how do you check your suppliers?

In short

The UFLPA Entity List names companies linked to forced labour, published by the US Department of Homeland Security.

Goods made wholly or partly by these companies are presumed to be barred from import into the United States.

You check it on every supplier in your supply chain, especially if you sell to the US.

What the list contains

The list is kept under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and names entities that produce goods with forced labour or work with programs in Xinjiang.

Each entry shows the entity name and the reason for its listing.

Who must check it

It matters for:

  • Importers into the United States and their suppliers abroad.
  • Manufacturers and brands with complex supply chains, for example in textiles, solar, electronics and food.
  • Companies that sell to US customers who ask for supply chain checks.

Fines and penalties

We do not show an amount for this list because we have not verified one. The penalties are set by the national law that applies to your company: read the official source and ask your legal advisor.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if my supplier is on the UFLPA list?

US customs can detain the goods at the border. The importer has to prove that the goods are not made with forced labour, which is very hard.

Are there fines for the UFLPA?

The UFLPA works mainly as an import ban. We do not show an amount because we have not verified one: read the official source.

Do I need to check indirect suppliers too?

The presumption also covers goods made partly by listed entities, so checking deeper levels of the supply chain helps.

The program can make mistakes. The final responsibility for compliance stays with your company. Unicorn Intelligence is an information tool. Decisions and legal obligations, including sanctions compliance, due diligence and tender participation, remain with the customer.
