How the test works

  1. 14 questions on where you are based, what you trade, with whom, and how you check counterparties today.
  2. Each answer adds points to a score from 0 to 100. Some combinations, such as trade with countries under broad sanctions without daily screening, raise the level directly.
  3. The result lists the exposures in order of importance, with the maximum penalties of the rules that apply to you and the services that cover them.

Penalties covered by the test

The maximum penalties used in the result, with their legal basis and official source. Figures checked on October 29, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is the test really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no email and no card. Your answers stay in your browser and are not stored.

Are these the penalties my company will pay?

No. The test shows the maximums set by law ("up to"). Actual penalties depend on the facts, on cooperation and on the authority. Many cases end with lower amounts, others with criminal charges.

Where do the figures come from?

From official sources: the Federal Register and the US Code for OFAC and BIS, gov.uk for OFSI, EUR-Lex for the EU directive and the national law portals for Germany and the Netherlands. Each figure shows its source and the date it was checked.

Does a low result mean my company is compliant?

No. The test only reads your answers and is not an audit. Sanctions lists change every week, so even a low result needs regular screening.

What happens after the test?

You can start with $50 of free usage, no card required, and screen your first counterparties the same day. Then you choose pay as you go or a subscription.
